Recycled Vase Ideas
Who says vases need to be glass, crystal or china all the time? Anything that can hold water can be considered a vase.
I recently purchased recycled rice bags (as shown above) in all matter of colours to use as vases for snapdragons and hyacinth. What makes them even more special is that they were made in conjunction with Cambodia House. Cambodia house is currently working with non-government organizations working with people with disabilities, urban poor, female land mine victims and rural youth. The project is based on income generation, independent living and training.
Coffee bags, vegemite jars, watering cans and milk bottles... the list is endless as to what you can add your favourite blooms to.

Pothole Gardens
Pete Dungey is the amazing mastermind behind 'Pothole Gardens' which he uses as a way to highlight the problem of surface imperfections of our roads and a response to the "road-centricity" of our urban setting. he say “If we planted one of those in every hole, it would be like a forest in the road”
